  1. I only recently discovered your blog and I love it. You have been blessed with a beautiful gift in the way you express your thoughts. I am truly inspired by everything you write, particularly the way you revel in the joys of motherhood. Thank you for sharing your gift and for brightening my little corner of the world!

  2. Your comments about your mother remind me, too, of some of the un-intentional lessons I have learned from my own mother. What a gift. I hope my own kids will recognize even one of these lessons in me one day. – Ashley

  3. Greetings! Thank you for sharing these things you have learned from your mother. My younger daughter is 17, and I can only hope and pray she is learning things from me unknown to me. Ours is a strained relationship, and I am still praying for change in my own heart.

Number 3 really speaks to me: “Live authentically. Perfection is an illusion, and the efforts to achieve it only result in bondage. . . . ” Wow! “…the efforts to achieve it only result in bondage.” How true. I hope and pray I am backing off my perfectionist tendencies no matter how slowly. 🙂 Thank God He sees beyond all these things to our hearts and loves us immensely – enough to bring us to a place of greater perfection in Him. Does that make sense?

God continue to bless you richly!

  4. Wonderful lessons.
I like that some lessons are learned best unintentionally, I’ve found that to be true as well. Thank you for sharing her wisdom 🙂
