  1. Looks like such a lovely weekend! We have yet to go apple picking, but it’s on my list! Gorgeous photos. Gorgeous kiddos. 🙂 🙂 🙂

    1. Ahh … Thanks Mary Beth! This was our first time to go. I wish the weather had been more agreeable, but it was fun nonetheless. You should go! By the way, next time we drive to my parents, I’ll have to ask you where we should stop in Tulsa to eat. We drive right through, and I’m always struggling to find a good stop!

  2. How perfectly lovely, Shalene! And I love that you found a good ol’ fashioned apple orchard out there in Texas. Ever since we moved to Michigan we just revel in the whole big fall show–big blowsy autumn winds and changing leaves and crisp mornings. You are making me want to pick every apple in sight 🙂 We like to make apple dumplings, which are basically whole applies cored, sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon, and baked in a little cup of pie dough. Delicious!

    1. Amy, I can only imagine how lovely fall in Michigan is! We don’t get much of a fall here, so we soak up the little bit we can. Those apple dumplings sound delicious! I may just have to try those. 🙂

  3. I have been trying to find a time we can go apple picking! Unlike Texas, our weather in Missouri has been amazing. The weekends are never long enough tho and we try to fit in all of our fall activities before the cold hits. Seeing your beautiful pictures makes me want to put apple picking at the top of our list! Can’t wait to read through more of your blog! Have a fabulous Monday! 🙂 xoxoxo

      1. I live about 45 minutes North East of Kansas City in Richmond. It’s a pretty small country town. 🙂 What a small world it is! I lived in Texas for a couple years when my dad was in the army, but that has been about 25 years ago! Wow that makes me sound old!! Really I was only 6 when we moved, so I don’t remember much. I would love to take a road trip there. 🙂

  4. Your photos are just beautiful. I think you’ve captured that orchard quite well!
Apple picking has become one of our favorite hobbies this year 🙂

    1. Thank you Lisa! Apple picking may just become one our favorite hobbies this year as well. I’m hoping we can go back when the weather is actually a bit cooler. 🙂

  5. love your pics and the whole atmosphere, looks like you had a real good time,
many greetings from far Germany, noni

    1. Noni, thank you for commenting from Germany! I just hopped over to your blog, and that picture of you and your daughter in the leaves is stunning! And that fox scarf … Darling!
