  1. Beautiful, my friend. Someone who turned out to be a dear friend in college told me that when she met me, I intimidated her, and like you, I felt the pangs of pride. I know the boat you are in! So thankful to know the heart behind the words. You truly are lovely.

    1. Erin, pride can be subtle sometimes, can’t it? And yet no matter it’s expression, subtle or overt, it stems from a selfish heart. It’s hard to admit that and to acknowledge our own other shortcomings, but those shortcomings and failures make us human and point to our need for a savior. Thank you for your comment! Your kindness and your warm heart show through in your words!

  2. I am new to FMF, and I am so glad God led me over today. Your words spoke volumes to my heart, and I so appreciate that. I also love that verse from John – His truth shall set us free. Ahhh … wonderful news!!

    1. Lara, thank you for stopping by. Your comment is appreciated more than words can express. I hopped over on your blog, and it is lovely! Be encouraged to keep writing!

  3. I’m right there with you. Pride is so ugly…and embarrassing! I am far too guilty for seeking that elevation from others, even in the form negative feedback, such as intimidation. Thank you for your transparency! A reminder to this prideful sinner to stay on my knees, close to Him!
