There is Room for You
Sometimes it doesn’t feel that way. Sometimes it feels like the market is saturated when it comes to your gifting, your talent, your passion. You feel like God has called you to something … something bigger than yourself, but you wonder if anyone will receive it. There are so many others who have already cornered that market, or so it seems.
Is there really room for you?
I know this feeling. I know the sting of rejection, the long-suffering in the waiting, and the ache of watching others achieve that for which you’ve longed. The Bible tells us to rejoice with those who rejoice, but that command is so hard when you wonder if the rejoicing will ever come for YOU?
But I also know this …
I know that no one else has your voice, your experiences, your skill set, your journey. No one else can give what only you can give. I know that God’s word never comes back void, and He always fulfills His promises! If He has given you a work to do, He will make a way. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, He will open doors you couldn’t have walked through on your own, and He will equip you for the task to which He has called you.
Trust Him.
Sarah was 90 years old when Isaac was born. The Israelites wandered 40 years before entering the promised land. Paul waited nearly 20 years to preach in Rome. His timing isn’t always our own, but His timing is perfect. And He has you in this season of waiting for a reason.
So cling fast to Him. Press into Him. Count on Him to keep His promises. Hone your skills and work for His approval, not man’s. Fill up on His goodness, His grace, His Gospel so that when He calls upon you to pour out, you can’t help but let all that you’ve stored up within overflow.
Your craft is HIS. He has given it to you for HIS glory, for a specific purpose and a specific time. He will complete the good work He has started in you.
” … he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 1:6
